A pressure cooker is used in the process of boiling water or any other liquid to create pressure within the cooker. This pressure enables temperature to rise quickly and therefore save energy. Because of the high temperature, these pressure cookers can be used for sterilization purposes. Steam can be released from within the pan to keep a steady temperature. The cooker can be heated by either gas or electricity and has a capacity of 21.8 liters.

At Lab Associates we currently offer the most used pressure cooker for preparing media, the Presto “Pressure Canner and Cooker 23-Quart”.
